The internship is for students who want to be well trained, not simply placed. Admission is selective.
Applicants are reviewed for readiness, professionalism, and fit.
This student mental health internship is open to students in programs such as, but not limited to:
Associate Degree programs in Behavioral Health or Human Services
Bachelor’s programs in Social Work or Psychology
Master of Social Work programs
Licensed Professional Counselor track programs
Licensed Clinical Social Worker track programs
Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs
Psychology and Applied Psychology programs
Doctoral level behavioral health or psychology training
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner programs
Other mental health-related academic programs
Interns may gain exposure to:
Individual and group mental health sessions
Community-based services
Ethical decision making in clinical settings
Telehealth and virtual service delivery
Virtual platforms are strongly encouraged when appropriate
Black female-owned private practice led by a Black female therapist
Grounded in excellence, representation, and professional standards
